IT'S ALMOST TIME
Hi to Everyone,
It's been awhile....seems like all I have been doing lately is painting
- doors and trim. I HATE painting :). This will be short as
I have more to do today. Gregg has been doing awesome in the pool.
He walked 6 steps by himself a couple of weeks ago - turned around to
find his therapist wasn't even close! Muscle memory is doing well.
He walked out on the sidewalk last week with assist for his right
leg, but moving it more than he's been able to do in the past.
Eating regularly with his right hand. Quite happy with himself.
His health has been good and he's not been as drowsy as in the past.
I attribute that to the fact that his anti-depressant was
discontinued and also because an old friend has been a regular visitor
and cheerleader - thank you, Connie. So all is well with him.
The house is coming slower than we want but it's almost there so I have
gone ahead and made some plans. Furniture will be moved up
hopefully next w/end and I plan on Gregg coming home to the UP in 3
weeks.
There will be a "Good-Bye and Best Wishes" party for him on
Sunday, June 20th. Gregg's sister, Susan is hosting it at the
Depot in Urbana. We will also be celebrating his dad, Bob's, 88th
birthday - so a party all around. If you would like to see Gregg
before he becomes a Michigan resident (okay, I didn't say MI 'fan', lol)
please try to stop by. He is leaving a lot of friends behind and
though we will be back for visits, I know it would mean alot to him if
his friends could be there too....give him a chance to say good-bye.
If you aren't able to make it please try to visit at Heartland before
then.
